Juliet’s Not Dead: She Just Smells Funny!

Previews

Sunderland, prepare for a night that will leave your ears ringing, your heart pounding, and your arse twitching.

Juliet’s Not Dead, the UK’s next big rock sensation – and possibly the only thing to have left Shotton Colliery with all of their teeth intact – are taking over Independent on Friday 7th February for a night that promises lethal riffs, sweaty battle jackets, and overdriven earworms you won’t have shaken come Monday morning.

Not just an ordinary gig, it’s the official launch party for their brand-new album ‘Only The Strong Survive’, a rip-roaring assault of hard rock energy out on TMR Records, who’s roster also hosts Gorilla Riot and local legends Thieves of Liberty. The new album is released the day of the show and the band will be playing in full for the very first time. You can purchase the release via the label’s website, and it comes in every format from digital to a massive £152 bundle with 5 x colour vinyls and a full wardrobe of merch.

Juliet’s Not Dead have built their reputation on pushing the limits of their craft with relentless meaty guitar hooks, back-combed hair and military tight live shows. Fronted by the charismatic Stevie Stoker, who you might recognise from now defunct Twister, their music brings the same raw energy and unforgettable melodies whilst delivering a sound that’s fresh, unapologetically bold and impossible to ignore.

For Stoker, this album and band represent the beginning of a new chapter. As he explains:
“I started Twister when I was 13 years old, and we’ve achieved incredible things over the years. But now, it’s time for a change. Juliet’s Not Dead is the evolution of everything we’ve worked towards, and this is just the beginning. It’s time to break new ground and invite you all into this exciting next step in our journey.”

Whether you’re a longtime fan of Twister or discovering Juliet’s Not Dead for the first time, this is a gig you don’t want to miss. So mark your calendars, grab your tickets, and head to Independent on 7 February.
