Fangs On Fur – Black Bull – 29/6

Review by Scott Hays

From the moment they launched into their set, it was clear this wasn’t just a band playing songs and going through the motions. This was intense, dark and real. Vocalist F-Girl commanded the stage with a theatrical presence, her voice a raw, captivating instrument, soaring and brooded in equal measure. Intricate guitar work, weaving between hypnotic post-punk riffs and sharp, was a highlight. The rhythms were tribal and driving, pushing the crowd into a mesmerized sway.

Fangs on Fur delivered a dark, hypnotic, and utterly compelling performance. They paid homage to their post-punk forefathers while fiercely maintaining their own identity. Think Siouxsie and the Banshees mixed with a little X Ray Spex and The Slits for good measure. For anyone seeking a compelling and unique live alternative experience, Fangs on Fur are a band not to be missed. Their enigmatic charm and sonic depth make for a truly memorable gig.
