At only 19 years old, Americana/folk singer-songwriter Anna Karila is releasing her debut single, ‘Sweet’.
Inspired by the likes of Lana Del Rey and Fiona Apple, Sweet explores vulnerability and strength coexisting through intimate vocals and gentle acoustic instrumentation.
She explains, “Sweet both criticises and honours the innate need we have to protect ourselves at any cost”, and that is certainly seen through the instrumentation as it builds to such a powerful yet extremely soothing melody.
Anna definitely knows the direction she is taking with her music, and she will undoubtedly thrive in the scene.
